American flags lined the streets of the Sellwood neighborhood in Portland OR- we as a people are happy and hopeful- we have a new president. Here is some excellent video coverage via msnbc of Barack Obama's oath and inaugural address.
Good heavens that man can give a good speech; everything he says seems to make so much sense. During the swearing in with Chief Justice John G. Roberts they both got a bit tongue tied; Obama paused and smiled at Roberts (to correct what he was supposed to be repeating) all I can think is how awesome it is to have a President who knows what he's doing! The Whitehouse.gov website changed it's design and content at noon. Check it out.
